General Risk Warning

⚠ Important Risk Notice

Trading Forex, Crypto CFDs, Commodities, Indices, and Leveraged Products carries a high level of risk and may not be suitable for all investors. You should consider whether you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money.

This Risk Disclosure Statement is provided in accordance with our obligations as a firm authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA Ref: 691307). It cannot disclose every risk associated with trading leveraged products. You should seek independent financial advice if you are uncertain about any aspect of these risks.

74% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs with this provider. You should consider whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money before trading.

§ 2

Leverage & Margin Risk

Leverage allows you to control a large position with a relatively small amount of capital, but it magnifies both potential profits and potential losses. A small adverse price movement can result in losses that significantly exceed your initial deposit on some account types, or trigger rapid loss of your full margin balance.

Guro Markets offers negative balance protection on retail accounts, meaning you cannot lose more than your account balance. However, this does not reduce the speed or severity with which your account balance itself can be depleted during volatile market conditions.

You are responsible for monitoring your margin level at all times. If your account equity falls below required margin thresholds, you may receive a margin call, and open positions may be automatically closed (stop-out) without further notice.

§ 3

Forex Risk

Foreign exchange rates can be highly volatile and are influenced by macroeconomic data, central bank policy, geopolitical events, and market sentiment — many of which are unpredictable. Currency pairs involving emerging market currencies typically carry wider spreads and higher volatility than major pairs.

§ 4

Crypto CFD Risk

Cryptocurrency CFDs carry substantially elevated risk due to the extreme price volatility of underlying digital assets. Prices can move dramatically within very short timeframes, including outside of traditional market hours, as cryptocurrency markets trade 24/7. Regulatory developments affecting cryptocurrencies can also cause sudden and severe price dislocations. You should only trade Crypto CFDs with capital you can afford to lose entirely.

§ 5

Commodities Risk

Commodity prices (including Gold, Silver, Crude Oil, and Natural Gas) can be affected by supply and demand imbalances, geopolitical events, weather conditions, and macroeconomic factors. Energy commodities in particular can experience significant volatility around OPEC decisions, geopolitical conflict, and inventory reports.

§ 6

Indices Risk

Stock index CFDs are influenced by the performance of their constituent companies, broader economic indicators, interest rate decisions, and market sentiment. Indices can gap significantly at market open following overnight news, particularly around earnings season and major economic announcements.

§ 7

Market Volatility & Gapping

During periods of high volatility — such as major economic data releases, central bank announcements, or unexpected geopolitical events — prices can move rapidly and gap past your intended stop-loss level. This means your position may be closed at a materially worse price than requested, resulting in losses greater than anticipated. Guaranteed stop-loss orders, where offered, may carry an additional premium.

§ 8

Liquidity Risk

During periods of low market liquidity, such as around major holidays or outside of primary trading sessions, spreads may widen significantly and order execution may be delayed or occur at a less favourable price than expected.

§ 9

Technology & Execution Risk

Trading via an online platform carries inherent technology risk, including potential internet connectivity issues, platform downtime, hardware or software failure, and delays in order transmission. While Guro Markets maintains a 99.9% uptime SLA and redundant infrastructure, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access to the Platform at all times. You are responsible for having a suitable backup plan (such as phone-based order placement where available) in the event of a technology disruption.

§ 10

Prop Trading & Copy Trading Risk

Prop Trading: Passing a prop trading challenge does not guarantee future trading success or profitability on a funded account. Funded account access can be revoked for breach of programme rules, and challenge fees are generally non-refundable in the event of failure.

Copy Trading: When copying another trader's strategy, your account will replicate their trades proportionally, including any losses. Past performance of a strategy provider is not a reliable indicator of future results. You remain fully responsible for the outcome of copied trades, and should review a strategy provider's full risk metrics — not just headline returns — before allocating capital.

§ 11

No Investment Advice

Nothing on the Guro Markets platform, including market commentary, AI-generated analysis (APEX AI), economic calendar content, or educational material from Guro Academy, constitutes personalised investment advice or a recommendation to buy or sell any financial instrument. All trading decisions are made solely at your own discretion and risk.

§ 12

Suitability Assessment

Before granting access to leveraged trading, we may conduct an appropriateness assessment to evaluate your knowledge and experience with complex financial instruments, consistent with our regulatory obligations. If our assessment indicates that leveraged trading may not be appropriate for you, we will provide a risk warning, though the final decision to trade remains yours.
